This research paper was conducted to determine the level of effects of police
corruption to the public trust in District 2 Davao City. There were a total of one
hundred (100) randomly selected people as a respondents in this study. The
researchers employed descriptive survey method, and a self-made survey
questionnaire was used as the data collection instrument. The instrument used in
this study was validated by the research adviser and three (3) validators from the
faculty of College of Criminal Justice Education. The statistical tools that were
used by the respondents were Frequency Percentage and Average Weighted
Score (Mean) and Descriptive Rating was used to analyzed the research result
and ANOVA and T-test were used by the statistician to analyze the hypothesis.
The findings of this study revealed that most of the respondents are male
respondents. In addition, there is a high effect of police corruption and its effect to
the public trust in District 2 Davao City. Moreover, profile of the respondents such
as gender, age and educational attainment manifested no significant differences
in the level of police corruption and its effect to the public trust in District 2 Davao
City
