This qualitative research design employed open-ended questions to investigate the availability of education for IP students in Barangay Magcagong, Maragusan, Davao de Oro. Through the study, we will have the option to recognize the difficulties that the indigenous learners experienced. The participants were composed of seven (7) in-depth interviews and seven in a focused grouped discussion to gather significant statements that made possible in the generation of themes. The participants' response was analyzed using thematic analysis. In analyzing data, as suggested by Boyatzis (1998), we carried out the following steps to mention: familiarize data, generate initial code, check for themes, review the themes, identify and name themes, and create the report. Moreover, the emerging themes on the challenges encountered by IP learners were Financial Problem, Insufficiency and Accessibility of Scholarships, and Stereotypes due to Norms and Culture. There were three (3) themes that emerged on the coping strategies of the IP learners and these are pursuit of the right to education, sharing of information, and determination in achieving end goal. Self-fulfillment, privileges and opportunities, and faith are the themes emerged on the insights of the study participants. Based on the findings of the study, IP students have felt the happy and sad experiences in accessing education. Nevertheless, because of the problems and lack of information, they deal and cope up the challenges in providing knowledge efficiently based on what they learned in accessing education.en_US
