DISASTER PREPAREDNESS AND AWARENESS: ADVANCE EQUIPMENT AND TECHNIQUE AMONG BFP PERSONNEL

Abstract

A study was conducted to define the advance equipment and technique among BFP personnel. The BFP stated that based on the Regulation a material composition of BFP is prepared. Thus, BFP are prepared with apparatus and gears with other material composition according to Material Technical Means personal (MTM). Further, all members of BFP are totally equipped with personal equipment for them to use in the midst of emergency and other calamities. Furthermore, the collective equipment and technique means the equipment used for the achievement of all operational-tactical tasks in fire fighting units. And, it is divided into fighting machinery or equipment for safeguard of respiratory organs; manuals means of fire; manual transmission vehicles and fire extinguishers; fire pumps; fire hoses, nozzles, dividers, water cannon and with water cannon and foam: fire stairs, technical equipment and tools; lighting equipment; foam, equipment tools; lighting and equipment, communications equipment and more. Finally, for special equipment and more. Finally, for special equipment and technology these are the techniques used in specific conditions of intervention such as: automobile stairs; protective equipment to protect against high temperatures and others.
