Women experience different form of violence just because they are women.
This appears to be one of the country’s rampant social problems. This study
Was conducted in Digos City, Davao Del Sure to determine the demographic
Profile of both victims and offenders. Using random sampling technique data
Were gathered to answer the problem. This includes the age, civil, status,
Education attainment and occupation. Data gathered had undergone a laborious
Analysis and interpretation to extract the outcome of this study. The researchers
Were able to conclude: victim and offenders were mostly of legal age, that they
Were married, that most case appears on high school graduate victims and
Offender and that they unemployed. This leads the researcher to develop an
Intervention program that will be of great solution to suppress the reported
Case of violence against women. Researcher also emphasize the role of the
Local government as agents of addressing this issue.
