GENDER AND MARITAL STATUS: FACTORS AFFECTING THE EXPENDITURESOF SECONDARY TEACHERS IN SAMAL DISTRICT, ISLAND GARDEN CITY OF SAMAL

Abstract

This study entitled Gender and Marital Status: Factors Affecting the Expenditures of Secondary Teachers in Samal District, Island Garden City of Samal was sought to know whether the gender and marital status are factors that are affecting the expenditures of secondary teachers. This study incorporated with the level of expenditure of secondary teachers. The statistical tools employed were descriptive method specifically: frequency, percentage, t-test, and mean. The data we gathered through the use of survey questionnaire distributed to seventy-one (71) secondary teachers in Samal District. Results showed that both food and transportation got a very high mean score, while clothing and school supplies got high mean score. Moreover, there was no significant difference in the level of expenditure when analyzed according to Gender and Marital Status.
